System Architecture
All 4 applications synchronize with one central, serverless Firebase cloud backend. Data changes in Firestore instantly propagate to all active clients in under 100 milliseconds.
Order Lifecycle (10 Steps)
User explores nearby restaurants, browses menus with prices, selects dish quantities, and reviews order breakdown.
Customer picks delivery address, chooses Razorpay (GPay/PhonePe/Card) or Cash on Delivery, and taps "Place Order".
Firestore record is created. Cloud Function triggers an immediate sound alert & push notification to the restaurant's phone.
Kitchen taps "Accept". Customer instantly sees their screen change to "Order Accepted by Restaurant".
Chef updates status to "Preparing". Customer sees live cooking milestone update on their screen.
Restaurant packages the meal and taps "Ready". Cloud Functions broadcast dispatch requests to all available delivery partners.
First rider to tap "Accept" claims the delivery. Customer is notified with the rider's name & phone number.
Rider arrives at restaurant, verifies order ID, collects the package, and marks "Picked Up".
Rider delivers food, collects cash if COD, and marks "Delivered". Customer gets instant confirmation notification.
Platform commission is automatically credited, rider earning ledger updates, and customer leaves star reviews.
